There were so many smiles and giggles as I painted this whimsical interpretation of the village of Cumberland, British Columbia in the traditional Territory of the K’ómoks First Nations. Painted on a snowy day in November 2017 it is also a historical snapshot of mainstreet architecture and paint colours of the buildings. Upon moving to Cumberland in 2015, it always reminded me of a village inside a snowglobe.
